Apple Announces New Macbooks for 2012


New Macbook Pro with Retina Display

Apple announced a new Macbook pro which comes with a Retina Display with resolution of 2800×1800.
The starting model costs $2199 while the higher-end model costs $2799.
The processor of the higher of the new Macbook Pro can be of up to 2.6Ghz and it can turbo boost itself to 3.7Ghz. The RAM is now of up to 16Gb. The flash memory can be of as much as 512Gb (upgradeable to 768Gb on higher-end model).
New Macbook loses the Firewire port, Ethernet port and SuperDrive. Intel HD Graphics 4000 and Nvidia GeForce GT650M can be found too. Others specs include Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, HDMI, Thunderbolt ports and backlit keyboard. The OS running is OSX Lion.

13 and 15 inch Macbook Pro

The new Macbook Pro now start at $1199 and go up to $2199. Macbook Pro can now have up to 2.6Ghz quad-core Intel i7 with 8Mb L3 cache. RAM can be of up to 8Gb now.
The display of the higher-end model is of resolution of up to 1440×900 pixels. Thanks to Intel HD Graphics 4000 and also Nvidia’s GeForce GT650M (on the higher-end model) processors, the graphics are now up to 60% faster.
Other features include Thunderbolt port, Firewire port, USB 3.0 ports, SuperDrive, SDXC card slot, backlit keyboard and a glass trackpad. The Operation system is OSX Lion.

11 and 13 inch Macbook Air

Apple also announced new Macbook Airs with the starting 11 inch model going at $999 and the higher-end 13 inch model going at $1499.
New Macbook Air now can have an Intel Core i7 dual-core processor of up to 2.0Ghz with as much as 8Gb RAM. The flash storage is up to 512GB now. The resolution of the Macbook Air can go to 1440×900.
Macbook Air uses the Intel HD Graphics 4000 and has its ports upgraded to USB 3.0. Thunderbolt port, Bluetooth 4.0, HD front-facing camera and a SD card slot(on the higher-end model only) are there too. There is no SuperDrive here. The OS is OSX Lion.
