Rawalakot
Rawalakot is one of the most beautiful valleys of KASHMIR which is located 80 km away from Rawalpindi and Islamabad. By Road It takes two and a half hour to Rawalakot which is also famous by the name of "PEARL VALLEY" its specialty is natural beauty.
The construction of Guoien Nullah road between Rawalakot and Azad pattan has considerably reduced the distance and journey time. During summer the place becomes full of green grass and beautiful flowers including many varieties of roses. The town has few good bazaars where all essential commodities of life are easily available. In Rawalakot, some good hotels and private guest houses provide comfortable accommodation.

Rawalakot "depends upon the season in which you are visiting the valley. If you are visiting the pearl valley Rawalakot in summers, then it is better to wear cotton clothes. Although, like other places in Pakistan , Rawalakot Kashmir is not very hot in summers, still, the weather is a little bit warm. For spring season and autumn season, light woolens are the perfect clothes to wear in Rawalakot Kashmir. This is because in spring as well as autumn, cool breeze blows in the valley. The winters in Rawalakot are cold and chilly. So, in this season heavy woolens are the answer to the question of "how to dress up" in Rawalakot .


Banjosa
Location:
The site is located on Banjosa Road, at a distance of 19 KM from Rawalakot City. The site is located in Tehsil Hajira, District Poonch, AJ&K
Elevation:
The site is at an elevation of 1798 m above mean sea level
Features:
This is the only planned tourist resort in the area. Banjosa is a beautiful lake surrounded by lush green mountains offering spectacular views. A few rest houses are constructed in the surroundings of this lake. Some tuck shops are also present at the lake but not properly managed and arranged. Weather is pleasant in summer and occasional snowfall in winter. Available area for development is around 5 acres.


Toli Pir

Location:
The site is located on Tolipir Road, at a distance of 40 KM from Rawalakot City. The site is located in Tehsil Rawalakot, District Poonch, AJ&K
Features:
Tolipir is the highest mountainous location and the most attractive point in the north-eastern area of Rawalakot. Tolipir offers outback time on wide spread grassy fields and aspiring views as it is the origin point of three different mountainous ridges. The tourism rest-house on the way to tolipir is also located on a very scenic location. There are some old remains of a Mazaar at the highest top of Tolipir. Weather is pleasant in summer and snowfall in winter. Available area for development is around 4 acres.


Poonch River
Location:
The site is located on Hajira-Kotli Road, at a distance of 35 KM from Rawalakot City. The site is located in Tehsil Hajira, District Poonch, AJ&K
Elevation:
The site is at an elevation of 886 m above mean sea level
Features:
There are quite a many spots along this route presenting exquisite views of water front. The water passage is quite wide at locations and hence has the potential which may be exploited in developing water based recreation. Moreover, flat and wide land is available next to the river for development. Weather is hot in summer and cold in winter. Available area for development is around 2 acres.


Tatta Pani
Location:
The site is located on Hajira Road, at a distance of 45 KM from Rawalakot City. The site is located in Tehsil Hajira, District Poonch, AJ&K
Elevation:
The site is at an elevation of 682 m above mean sea level
Features:
Tatta Pani offers a unique experience, Hot Water Springs oozing out of the ground fall into the Poonch River. These are sulfur water springs with water temperatures approximately 86º C in summers and 65º C in the winters. Existing hot water baths were destroyed during the flood in River Poonch. However, there are a couple of Rest Houses at the site. Weather is hot in summer and cold in winter. Available area for development is around 3 acres.

Spring
The spring season starts in March and lasts up to early May. The average temperature during spring season ranges from 23° C to 6° C. Brief showers, light winds and blossoming flowers characterize this season. Along with that, the whole of Rawalakot stands blanketed in the hues of green.
Summer
Starting from May, the summer season extends up to the end of August. The climatic conditions of Rawalakot in summers are not quite hot. In Pearl valley, you may even require to put on light woolens in summers. The average temperature in the daytime falls in the range of 25° C to 35° C. Rawalakot is the most sought after hill station during summers.
Autumn
With the onset of September comes the time for the autumn season. The whole region gets covered in the hues of first gold, then russet and then red. The average temperature during autumn hovers around 23° C (max) to 10° C (min). The season lasts till late November, by which time the need for heavy woolens starts mounting.
Winter
Stretching from December to early March is the winter season in Rawalakot . Covered with snow throughout, Rawalakot looks like a picture straight out of a fairytale.

 KOTLi

The area now comprising district Kotli was a sub-division of Mirpur district up to the year 1975. District Kotli is a hilly area rising gradually towards the high mountains of Poonch district. Its climate is more moderate than that of Mirpur due to the sub- mountainous topography.

Kotli
Kotli, the District Headquarter, is at a distance of 141 kilometers from Rawalpindi/ Islamabad via Sensa, Holar and Kahuta. It is linked with Mirpur by two metallic roads, one via Rajdhani (90 Kilometers) and the other via Charhoi. It is also directly linked with Rawalakot via Tarkhal (82 Kilometers). A PWD Rest House, Tourist Rest House at Sarda and middle standard hotels in the town provide accommodation facilities to the visitors. Developed into an Industrial city very rapidly. All the basic amenities of lire are available In Roth Town. Bus and wagon transport services are also available.

Khoiratta
38 kilometers from Kotli ahead, a road leads to Khoiratta. Khoiratta and the nearby area provide remarkable attraction to tourists because of the remains of gardens and fountains of the older times From 4 kilometers ahead of Khoiratta is famous shrine of “ Mai Totti Sahiha” which is visited by hundreds of people daily. A rest house by Tourism Department at Khoiratta is available for tourist accommodation.

Fatehpur
Fatehpur was a part of tehsil Mahnder before independence, It Is located at a distance of 40 kilometers from Kotli and 181 kilometers from Islamabad Due to high altitude (1524 meters) Fatehpur is comparatively a cold place then the rest of the district. A Tourist Rest House provides accommodation facilities to the tourists/ visitors.


Teenda
Teenda is a place of viewpoint linked with metallic road, 6 kilometers from Kotli, One can have a wonderful view of “Kotli “ City and surrounding areas from this place. To make it an attractive tourist spot, AJ&K Tourism Department has constructed a Tourist Rest House here to provide accommodation facilities.

Hajiabad (Sehnsa)
Hajiabad, located on Holar- Roth road, is a midway point for the travelers coming from Rawalpindi Islamabad. A cafeteria for refreshments has been provided by the Tourism Department.
